Grocery shop owner in Thailand finds king cobra hiding among shelves
A grocery shop owner was shocked after finding a huge king cobra hiding among the shelves.
Fah Mananya, 50, was watching over her store when she saw the slither across the ground in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand on September 28.
The woman looked inside the shelves to check what it was and recoiled with fright when she saw the deadly snake.
Fah was terrified by the size of the serpent and fled from her building before contacting the rescue team to capture it.
Snake handlers arrived and spent almost an hour tussling with the 14ft long cobra before it was dragged outside.
The rescuer volunteers were relieved that he was able to capture the fierce snake without being harmed by it.
Apichat Santi said: ''We had a really hard time capturing that king cobra. It kept resisting our efforts by trying to attack us.''
The snake was sent to the wildlife department before it was released back to the wild.
