This is the moment four passengers narrowly escaped injury when a false ceiling collapsed just feet away from them at a metro station in Bangalore, India on September 30.

CCTV footage shows the passengers passing through the security gates at National College Metro Station when the ceiling falls beside them

Officials said no-one was injured in the incident although the ceiling damaged one of the security gates.

Four passengers narrowly escaped injury after a false ceiling collapsed near them at a metro station in Bangalore, India, on September 30.

In the CCTV camera at the station a male and three women passengers are seen near the fare collection gate at National College Metro Station.

As they drop the entry tokens, bricks and panel fall from the ceiling missing them by just a few feet. A brick crashed into the fare collection gate and broke its case.

Officials said none was injured in the incident.

Bangalore Metro is the third largest biggest metro network in the country after Delhi and Hyderabad.
