Scores of people dressed as zombies marched through central London on Saturday (October 5) to mark World Zombie Day and raise money for charity.

The London event, which has been operating since 2008, raises money for homeless charities.

World Zombie Day was born in Pittsburgh’s Monroeville Mall in 2006, the location of George Romero’s film Dawn of the Dead, according to the World Zombie Day website.

Now, more than 50 cities worldwide participate including New York, Pittsburgh, Paris, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and Tokyo.
