The Riau Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) continued to carry out efforts to extinguish forest and land fires in Riau province, Indonesia on Sunday (October 6).

In Pekanbaru, a forest fire has burnt at least two hectares of land.

In the meantime in Kampar, a water bombing helicopter from National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) was deployed on Sunday to tackle a fire that has burnt 70 hectares.
