The humpback whale named Hessy, spotted swimming in the Thames on Monday (October 7) has been confirmed dead today (October 9) by charity The British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
Footage shows the moment a humpback whale surfaced in the River Thames for the first time in 10 years.
Max Goodwright was at work on a tug boat when the whale was spotted near Belvedere in the London Borough of Bexley on Monday (October 7).
