A giant red centipede terrified a villager while foraging at Melaka, Malaysia on August 28. The venomous creature, believed to be a Chinese Red Headed Centipede, was curled up on the dirt as it munched on dead leaves.

Shocked local Masnawi Yusof said: "It was huge, I didn't want to mess with it. I just took my fruit and left." Chinese Red Headed Centipedes, also known as Asian Forest Centipedes, thrive in damp, dark environments and can grow up to 20cm long.
