Crowds gather in Bengaluru to watch 50-foot effigies of Hindu legends burn during Dussehra celebrations on October 8.

The celebrations culminate with the spectacular event of setting ablaze 50 feet tall effigies of Ravana and Kumbhakarna to symbolize the victory of Lord Ramachandra (Hindu God) over Ravana.
Eco-friendly fireworks are used to burn the effigies so as to prevent environmental pollution. Even in heavy rain the event was successful people enjoyed it.

Despite the heavy rains in the area, the god of thunder failed to dampen the spirit of the people who gathered in huge numbers with umbrellas over head to watch the spectacular event.
