A snake spat up four eggs while trying to flee after being caught at a chicken farm in east India.

On the morning of October 8, Rakesh Kumar Mohalik, a biologist at Keonjhar wildlife division got a call from Manoj Hansda of Kaptipada village in Mayurbhanj District, Odisha.

According to the caller a Spectacled Cobra (identified by its hood marks) entered their chicken farm and had killed a chicken and was threatening the other birds.

Mohalik rushed to the scene and found the snake had swallowed 4 out of 13 eggs. After being caught the cobra spat up the eggs to make a quicker escape, but was promptly restrained, bagged and relocated nearby by Mohalik's team.

On 8th October 2019 around 8’o clock. Rakesh Kumar Mohalik Wildlife Biologist at Keonjhar wildlife division got a call from Mr.Manoj Hansda of Kaptipada village in Mayurbhanj District, According to the caller a Spectacled Cobra (Identified by it Hood Mark) snake has entered to their chicken farm. After that Rakesh Kumar Mohalik rushed to the place and saw a chicken was already died (killed by the cobra) till he reached at the place he found the snake swallowed 4 out of 13 Eggs and usually snakes suffers a lot moving from one place to another while they carry their prey inside. After being caught the cobra vomited the eggs first so it would be easy for him to escape that place by moving faster. After puking up all the eggs the snake was restrained bagged and relocated nearby safely following all the protocols said Rakesh.
