Indonesian refugees return to their hometowns in Padang after the Wamena riots left 33 people dead.

Of the thousands of refugees from the Wamena riot, 601 of them returned to their hometown in West Sumatra Province.

Putri landed, 30, at Minangkabau International Airport, on Thursday night (October 10) after flying from Sentani Papua and transiting in Jakarta.

SHe was only able to return home because she had to undergo serious treatment in Papua.

17 days after the riots in Wamena, Papua Province of Indonesia, which killed 33 people, a wave of refugees to various regions is still ongoing.

Putri landed at Minangkabau International Airport, on Thursday night, October 10, 2019, after flying from Sentani Papua and transiting in Jakarta. He returned with two family members. He was only able to return home, because he had to undergo serious treatment in Papua.

The return of the Princess was greeted by the tears of the family who had been waiting. Moreover, Putri is an eyewitness who saw the ferocity of the rioters in Wamena, 23 September. He saw how her husband and child died. Even the Princess also suffered wounds on her face and hands.

Because her health condition was not yet normal, Putri was then rushed to Muhammad Jamil Hospital in Padang. There also have been waiting for dozens of relatives from the South Coast.

The riots in Wamena have left deep trauma for Putri and other refugees. He also claimed he would not return to Papua, because his husband and child had died, and his business had also been burned down by rioters.
