Terrified locals see crocodile lurking next to dam in Malaysia
Shocked locals spotted a crocodile swimming near a dam in Malacca, Malaysia, on Thursday (October 10).
The enormous reptile was seen floating on the surface of the water at the Pulau Gadong dam.
Concerned resident Fitri Zim was walking along the banks with his friend when he noticed the killer saltwater crocodile poking its snout above the surface.
The killer animal floated over to the bank where the group were standing before sinking back into the depths.
Fitri said: "It can be dangerous to people passing by who do not know what to do, and it can be dangerous for the animal too."
Fitri said that he reported the crocodile sighting to security guards at the dam who contacted environmental workers.
