A three-year-old boy fell between the platform and the train at Chongqing North railway station at around 7:30 pm on October 8.

The CCTV video shows a boy running toward the D953 train suddenly falling into the gap between the platform and the train.

In another clip, one police officer lowered himself down onto the tracks and passed the boy up onto people waiting on the platform.

According to reports, the police officer named Hou Qian informed the driver to delay the departure time while running to jump onto the track to save the boy.

Thanks to Hou, the boy was not seriously injured.

10月8日晚上7点半，重庆北站，离发车还有3分钟时，D953次列车7号车厢传来了一阵求救声。乘警赶到发现一名3岁男童掉落在站台和车厢的缝隙内。乘警一边通知暂缓开车，一边跳下站台将男童救出。所幸乘警救援及时，孩子无大碍。
男童母亲称，当时携带了很多行李物品，没能及时看管好孩子。
