A cat owner in Indonesia claims this clip shows his pet protecting him and local children from a snake.

According to the filmer, he started recording on Friday when he saw his cat in a standoff with an aggressive snake in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.

The clip shows the cat hold its ground despite repeated strikes from the reptile.
