The Bangkok branch of restaurant chain Hooters marks Breast Cancer Awareness month with pink t-shirts and drinks.

Waitresses wore the costumes and waved pink cheerleader pom poms to mark the occasion, which coincided with the company's 36th anniversary.

Footage from the store in the Silom area of the Thai capital on Friday (11/10) shows how customers joined in with the event, posing for photographs and wearing wristbands.

''Hooters Asia expresses their humble gratitude for all the support and love that has been given to them in Thailand,'' the company said in a statement.

''In the support of Breast Cancer Awareness, Hooters has created a special "Pink Drink Menu" where sales will be donated to fund the breast cancer research.''

Breast Cancer Awareness Month takes place each October to increase awareness of the disease. Light pink ribbons or clothing have been used to show support to the cause.

Hooters was founded in 1983 in Clearwater, Florida, and now has 420 branches around the world. They are best known for chicken wings and staff in orange hot pants and white t-shirts.
