This is the moment cooling towers at a power station in Yorkshire in the UK were destroyed in a controlled explosion today (October 13th).

The four towers were among five cooling towers at Ferrybridge Power Station that have been scheduled for demolition since the plant's closure in 2016.

Earlier in the year,29th July, a test blast was carried out on one other cooling tower on the which saw the tower come crashing down in seconds.
The event saw 1000s of spectators from across the region turn up to watch the controlled explosion, causing congestion to the area.
Roads were closed and rolling road blocks were put in place for the A1M & M62 motorways while the demolition took place.
