After a week of occupying Trafalgar Square, the police have shut down Extinction Rebellion's protest at the site.

Footage captured shows officers warning protesters that they would have to leave by 9pm, and on the hour police began entering and taking down tents.

There's also some footage shot before 9pm of Extinction Rebellion stewards, including a first aider, telling people "don't panic" and to stay with their belongings. A police officer tries to inform the first aider that they have to leave Trafalgar Square by 9pm. The first aider then runs off and covers his ears as the officer follows him.
