A frightened male motorist screamed in terror when a bus slid down a slope and struck his vehicle in northern China.

The dashcam video, shot in the city of Yan'an on October 11, shows a driverless bus suddenly starting to move backwards and sliding down a slope, while the driver, who is outside of the vehicle, makes futile attempts to stop it.

The bus bumps into the dashcam vehicle, scaring the driver inside.

A woman can be seen running to the car and asking the man: "Are you ok?"

According to reports, the bus driver accidentally released the electric handbrake when she placed some items inside the bus through a window.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

2019年10月11日下午17时11分，陕西延安，K26路陕J00688F公交车行驶至宝园调度站停车后，驾驶员将车门关闭，离开车辆。随后又从车辆左侧驾驶室车窗放置物品时，将设置在左侧车窗边的车辆电子手刹误触，导致电子手刹驻车功能解除，造成车辆后溜发生事故。当时驾驶员立即采取呼救疏散措施，将事故损失降到最低。该事故除路边停放的一辆小车轻微受损外，其余未造成任何人员受伤。
