Named the "Magnet man of India", 52-year-old Arun Raikwar found out about his unusual ability in 2016, after household objects often stuck to his body.

A photographer by profession, Arun is a resident of Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district.

The man claims he can attract spoons, nails, iron boxes and knives on his body.

Raikwar states that the magnetism in his body is strong enough to allow him to walk for about 600 meters with iron objects stuck to his body.

Speaking about Arun's condition, Dr. Shailendra Shukla said he was extremely curious but not surprised as the human body does have the presence of magnetic fields which enables them to get a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electrocardiography (ECG).

He holds a compass near his chest and the needle moves, indicating signs of his powers.

After laying down the items on a table, the man starts to place them one by one on his chest.

The items stick to his bare body as spoons, nails and even knives are placed on him.

According to Arun, the magnetic power is the strongest in his chest, back and stomach regions.

Raikwar believes his body emits 'special waves' that makes him magnetic.

Speaking about Arun's condition, Dr. Shailendra Shukla said he was extremely curious but not surprised as the human body does have the presence of magnetic fields which enables them to get a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electrocardiography (ECG).

Though unique, this power had unintentionally scared Raikwar's relatives and neighbours and had become a problem for his work, but slowly everyone came to accept his conditions and the situation became normal.

The condition, widely known as Human Magnetism, is supposed to have the ability to attract objects to the human body like a magnet.

This condition not only attracts metal objects but is also alleged to be able to attract materials such as glass, porcelain, wood or plastic.

According to world-renowned scientist Benjamin Radford, this is nothing but extreme stickiness on the skin which leads to objects being attracted. If it was magnetism then it would only attract certain objects like an actual magnet.

He also stated that these people usually have smooth hairless skin an tend to lean back slightly when sticking objects, which would not be needed if they possessed real magnetic powers.

Five other such cases have been reported around the world and have been confirmed to be cases of extreme stickiness of the skin.
