Spine-tingling moment 10ft python coils itself around builder's neck and leaves him choking for breath in rural Indian village
This video captures a narrow escape for a man after a 10-foot long python tried to strangle him in southern India.
The incident took place on Oct. 15 in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram.
Visuals show a 10-foot long python coiled around the neck of a man chocking him as his fellow villagers try to help him get rid of the reptile.
The villagers first help the man stand who already has the head of the reptile in his hand while the other tries to get hold of its tail.
The two other people helping the man then slowly unwrap the python from around his neck and help him get rid of the reptile.
The three then put the python in a bag as the rescue team arrived after the incident.
The python had been put under observation for two days after which it was released deep inside the forest.
According to reports, the incident took place while the man, identified as Bhuvachandran Nair, was cutting off bushes at a collage campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
The man and a few others were doing the work as part of a government scheme at the Kerala Institute of Management campus.
While cleaning, Nair came across an object he mistook for a piece of cloth. However, as she walked closer to it, he realised it was a 10-foot-long python and decided to rescue it.
The snake, however, was too quick and crawled up his body and climbed its neck.
When the men decided to remove it, the python tried to choke Nair.
Fortunately for him, his colleagues were able to get rid of the python before it could choke Nair.
