A motorist driving on the Loop 12 in Dallas, Texas was given a shock when a chunk of concrete flew into their windscreen.

Dashcam footage captured on September 6 shows the moment concrete kicked up by a car in front flies into the car and cracks the glass.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I was driving north on Loop 12 in Dallas when my windshield shattered for no apparent reason.

"There was a hole all the way through right behind the rearview mirror and there was glass all over the inside of the car.

"I didn't know what caused it until I reviewed the dashcam footage later and saw the chunk of concrete get kicked up by the car in front of me."
