A commuter in northern China's Shenyang attempted to smuggle a lighter through the airport security in his mouth on October 16.

The bizarre CCTV video shows a man taking a lighter out of his mouth after trying to smuggle it through the security and being caught by the airport staff.

According to reports, the man was addicted to cigarettes and he was afraid that he couldn't go on the plane without smoking.

It was the man's first-time taking a plane. He managed to hide the lighter in his mouth to pass through the security check and brought it onto the plane.

He was fined 1000 Yuan (£110), reports said.

2019年10月16日，辽宁沈阳。一男子计划乘坐飞机从沈阳飞往南京，过安检时，因嘴里藏了个打火机被发现，罚款1000元。经了解，该男子烟瘾较大，他第一次坐飞机，觉得2个多小时的旅程太难熬，就把打火机藏嘴里。

安检工作人员对他进行人身检查时，他的嘴这稍微鼓出来一点，安检员问他嘴里有什么，他告诉牙掉了，确实掉了好几颗牙，但是从嘴里拿出来的是一个打火机，（被抓了个现行？）对。由于他嘴里装的是打火机，说不清话。安检员让他张嘴，一张嘴发现里面是个打火机。后来被安检员拿出来了。现在是由安检工作人员带离安检现场。

依据《中华人民共和国民用航空安全保卫条例》第32条第4项及第35条第3项规定，对其继续行政罚款1000元的处罚，并对藏匿的打火机进行收缴。
