Drivers in Castleford, Yorkshire were filmed driving through a severely flooded road on Saturday.

Barnsdale Road was inundated after the River Aire burst its banks around 11 am local time.

Roads and rail services have been affected as heavy rain fell across most of Wales and parts of England.

More than 100mm (4 inches) of rain fell in 24 hours across parts of Wales, according to the Met Office.

Motorists risked driving through floods today 26th October, after heavy rain to the region caused flooding.
Barnsdale Road in Castleford became flooded after the River Aire burst it's banks around 11am. As the road quickly flooded,drivers risked the floods whilst others turned around and was faced with a long diversion to Leeds.
This is the 2nd time the road has flooded in less than a month.
Whilst some vehicles made it through the flooding, others became stranded and had to be towed or pushed out of the water.
