A bypasser in Calabasas, California, has a shocking theory for the recent Southern California wildfires: "God doesn't like ugly motherfuckers".

Lauren Pena, the filmer, shot the moment as she was headed to her local store on Monday (October 28).

"As I started shooting, I was startled by the voice of a woman in the parking lot yelling at the sky… She told me “This is why this is happening, because God doesn’t like “ugly motherfuckers” promptly followed by “good luck rebuilding your store", Lauren said.

The fire broke out and began burning on a hill around 1:30 a.m. adjacent to the 405 Freeway at Getty Center Drive near the Getty Center museum.

I received multiple alerts of fires within my local area, and could smell the air was getting thick, which reminded me of the last few Calabasas/Malibu fires. I made my way to the local grocery store in order to acquire some emergency supplies and to get a more accurate assessment of the status of the fire. As I parked I could see the smoke in the distance, slowly making its way towards our area, and I immediately grabbed my phone in order to capture some footage.
