A rare and incredible footage has emerged of a beetle guarding its larvae as nymphs emerge out of the eggs.

The video was captured on 25 September 2019 during its metamorphosis in Kerala, south India.

The video is showing a group of beetles circled around its eggs as the process takes place on the surface of a Tulsi leaf.

Beetles keep a guard as the Nymphs hatch out of the pearl looking eggs. From a far view it looks like a jewel but is completely a different face of the nature when seen from near.

Nymphs are an immature form of the insect that grows larger but does not change greatly as it grows and molts. Nymphs do not pupate before they emerge as Adults. Such metamorphosis are hard to find when live and are rare, the filmer Biju Thenkudi when witnessed the rare sight immediately took out his mobile and recorded the event.
