Salvadorans commemorate this November 2 the Day of the Dead, to remember their loved ones. The day of the dead, also known as the day of the faithful departed or day of the dead is a Salvadoran tradition that takes place on November 2 of each year throughout El Salvador to remember loved ones and is used by the people to buy flowers, clean and paint the graves, and decorate them with flowers. As a family they go to the cemetery where the closest relatives are buried, as in the case of the general cemetery of San Salvador, an activity that starts from the first day of November.
