Security guards from Harbin Normal University rescued two black swans after they got trapped on a frozen lake in northern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on November 6, shows two black swans stuck on a frozen lake and two men on a boat attempting to rescue them.

A trapped black swan can be seen managing to escape by flapping her wings repeatedly.

After around an hour, the two security guards finally broke the ice and rescued the swans from the ice.

11月6日，黑龙江哈尔滨。哈尔滨师范大学校园内湖面结冰，两只黑天鹅被冻住了，大爷划船去救鹅也被困。虽然大家都很心疼鹅，但是又觉得好笑。在场的同学表示，哈尔滨最近温度骤降导致湖面有了一层薄冰，保安大爷为了救鹅只能一边凿冰一边划船，最后用捕鱼一样的方法捞起了天鹅。
目前天鹅被安置在17度的恒温暖房，这个冬天天鹅们都将在这间暖房里度过。天鹅饲养员李学杰介绍，他们花费约1小时才砸冰划船接近天鹅，施救时天鹅也很配合。
