Mother monkey carries its injured baby to animal hospital in central India
Fascinating scenes unfolded near a veterinary hospital in central India's Madhya Pradesh where a female monkey carried its child to the facility after the latter sustained injuries.
The incident took place recently in Sehore city of the same district.
Visuals showed the mother monkey carrying its injured child as another primate kept guard.
The mother placed the young monkey on the ground several times, understandably to check its surrounds before proceeding further.
Another footage showed the monkey sitting on the boundary wall of the clinic while holding its baby.
Reports said the young monkey sustained injuries after a tree branch it sat on snapped and it fell on a high tension electric wire.
The primate eventually fell down on the ground and was picked up by its mother who rushed the former to the hospital.
There it sat on the boundary wall, waiting for people to help.
Finally, the staff at the animal hospital took notice of the monkey's pain and brought its child for treatment.
Unfortunately, it had died by then.
