An ailing eagle was nursed back to health and released back into the wild by an animal rescuer in northeast India's Assam.

Footage shows the man treating the eagle with a syringe to feed the bird of prey water.

According to the bird's saviour, the eagle had consumed something poisonous and was found struggling near the side of a road by a local.

The footage was captured on November 2 and 6, respectively.

Next, the man releases the bird in the wild.

As soon as the bird is flung up, it spreads its wings and flies away.

According to man, the eagle had consumed something poisonous and was found struggling near the side of a road by a local who informed him.

He rushed to the spot, took the eagle with him and nursed the bird back to health.

The eagle was released on Nov. 6.
