Firefighters respond to fire at Arcos Industries Mount Carmel Township, Pennsylvania

00:02 Hrs. Strong — An employee from Arcos reported that fire around 00:00 hrs. Fire crews responded to a 2nd alarm with Special Call fire at Arcos Industries 394 Arcos Drive, Strong in Mount Carmel Township.
Kulpmont Police officers notified Northumberland County Communications Center that the fire was thru the roof and suggested a 2nd alarm be dispatched.
Marshal 26 was advised of the situation and acknowledged that a 2nd alarm should be dispatched with a 3rd alarm on standby along with an additional ladder company.
Due to limited maneuverability numerous units were required to stage in a neighboring field outside the facility entrance and walk in.

General Manager Harry Wehr said a foreman spotted the flames "shooting out of the roof" in a storage area.
Marshall Brian Hollenbush believes the fire started in the officer area and spread to the roof. He believes his investigation will show that that the fire is of an electrical nature and not suspicious.
Records show that units from 4 counties responded do to this blaze with no injuries being reported.

Arcos confirmed the company makes welding consumables.
