Woman has cockroach pulled out from her ear by doctor in south India
This is the bizarre moment a doctor in a hospital in southern India pulls out a cockroach from a woman's ear who complained of pain in the region.
The incident took place on Apr. 20, 2018 at the Jubilee Hospital in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram.
Visual shows the doctor, identified as Dr. Paulose, giving a commentary about the patient before proceeding with the treatment.
Using a crocodile forceps, the doctor takes out an object resembling the severed leg of a cockroach.
He then takes out the rest of the body parts before laying them on a tissue paper placed in front of the woman, who looks horrified.
After removing the foreign substance, the doctor uses a suction pipe to pull out any leftovers from the woman's right ear.
As a precautionary measure, Dr. Paulose urges the woman and the viewers to either apply water or oil if they feel an insect has entered their ears.
He says the same will demobilise the insect and prevent it from advancing further.
