Wildlife photographer, Ewan Wilson, captures the moment a curious seagull snuck up on him and started to hover above his camera.

Filmed on November 11, the footage shows the bird approaching Wilson from behind before gliding above the camera.

Wilson told Newsflare: "During my career as a wildlife photographer I have encountered many so-called threatening animals with no problems.

"I have come inches from alligators, seen great white sharks breaching only metres away and have been surrounded by six killer whales hunting a mega pod of common dolphins and am happy to say that none of these beasts even gave me a dirty look let alone threaten me.

"Of all the animals I have worked with it just had to be a seagull to be feisty enough to show a human who's boss."

Wildlife Photographer Ewan Wilson (age 24) finds himself caught off guard when photographing cormorants. Whilst on the rocks focusing on the seabirds a dubious gull decides that its time for Ewan to leave. The seagull who was sat watching the photographer takes to the sky and begins his threat display, yelling and flying uncomfortably close to the unsuspecting naturalist. Unsure if the bird was going to make a full attack or not, Ewan awkwardly flees the birds rocky territory and seeks safety away from the seagull.
