This hapless pet dog had to be rescued after getting its head stuck between railings.

The pooch had been stuck for more than three hour when the residents found him in Uttaradit, northern Thailand, October 29 morning.

Rescue worker Laywat Yaytung arrived and took two hours to cut the metal fence and release the dehydrated mutt.

Laywat said the dog had been found at around 5am and was eventually released just after 8am.

He said: "It took almost two hours to rescue the dog. It looked so weary and its tongue had turned pale-violet color. After being freed, the dog appeared dizzy, but it slowly recovered."

Laywat said that middle-aged owner of the dog was worried after noticing it stuck in the fence.

The kind-hearted rescuers gave the dog a bowl of water while getting it out of the strong railings.

Laywat said: "We felt so good that we finally helped him. Without the steel cutters and the good team work, the dog could have died."
