Vapour is collected from a machine that heats the waste and that is then turned into the fuel.

Sisra Ismail, operator of Plastic Waste Processing Machines said: "The process is heated or burned, we need about 3 hours.

"The results of refined fuel oil as much as two litres of oil for every seven kilos of waste. In a day we can process 10 kilos making 3 litres of fuel.

"Hopefully in the future, this can be a lesson for the community so that they do not litter anymore."

residents of Nagari Sungai Pinang, Koto XI District Tarusan Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra have a new habit. They no longer throw or burn plastic waste, but instead submit it to a plastic waste treatment plant in the area.

Here, plastic waste is processed into fuel. Waste is put into a machine to be heated. The tube is connected to a pipe that converts the plastic waste vapor into fuel oil.

It takes about 3 hours to get processed waste fuel. Within a day, the engine can process 10 kilos of waste and produce 3 liters of fuel.
