The shocking scene is captured as New York Police officers draw their weapons to arrest a black teenager for fare evasion on October 25.

The arrest sparked outrage as Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced plans to increase police presence to counter combat fare evasion.

In late October, a video recorded in a Brooklyn subway station that depicted a Black teenager being violently arrested by police after having guns drawn on him went viral. It was later reported that he was arrested for fare evasion (it was alleged that he had a weapon on him, but he did not).
This sparked outrage and a huge reaction, especially after Cuomo's plan to increase police presence by 500 police in order to combat fare evasion.
