Heroic Chinese firefighters rescued a mother and her son who were trapped in a frozen lake.

In the video, shot in the city of Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province last Sunday (November 17), a fireman tied to a rope and lying on a rescue stretcher approached the boy and grabbed him.

Two other firefighters lying behind him on the ice then pulled both the rescue stretcher and the rope to bring the boy back to safety.

After the boy was rescued, police officers carried him away and the firefighters used the same technique to rescue the mum.

According to reports, the mum and her son were sent to hospital and neither of them were injured.

17日12时15分许，接到110指令后， 齐齐哈尔市公安局龙沙分局巡警大队和江岸派出所值班民警紧急赶到事发现场，此时消防救援人员正在做救援准备，一名中年妇女背上扛着一个小男孩卡在冰窟中，靠抓着冰面上的粗树枝坚持着，冰窟窿周围全是薄冰层，随时有突然坠入的危险，情况十分危急。

江岸派出所民警张也和辅警张鑫维持现场秩序，防止围观群众接近，保护随时可能坍塌的冰面；巡警大队民警张宏刚、成仁鹏和辅警李威、刘聪则与消防救援人员一起拽绳子，配合其开展救援工作，将母子二人从水里拉了上来。

“叔叔，我觉得好冷......”小男孩哭着说道，民警张也一直安慰小男孩不要害怕，辅警李威脱掉自己的棉大衣包裹在了小男孩身上，并将他抱上警车。

随后，民警将母子二人送至医院检查，由于施救及时，二人均无大碍。
