Golf ball-size hail stones hit town in Queensland leaving homes damaged

Ice the size of golf balls rain down on Queensland, Australia on Sunday (November 11) during a hail storm.

Footage shows huge pieces of ice smash through cars and houses in the town of Baringa.

Resident Lynn Cleave said the storm damaged several properties in the neighbourhood.

She said: "The ice smashed our front window and blinds and has likely [written] off two cars with damage.

''I've never heard anything like the noise of the hail, it has also brought extensive damage to the house, dents to roof, guttering, garage door, concrete."
