A five-year-old boy playing on a skateboard had a lucky escape after being run over by an SUV in eastern China.

CCTV video of the incident in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province on November 15 shows a boy skateboarding at speed down a slope and rushing into the middle of the road. He then rolls underneath a car driving past.

The boy is later seen crawling out of the bottom of the car by himself. A passerby helps the youngster to his feet.

The driver called the police, who found the boy's parents and sent the boy to hospital for tests.

Reports said that the boy avoided serious injury because the chassis of the SUV was higher than a regular car and the point at which he went under the vehicle was between the two sets of wheels.

11月15日傍晚6点多，在路桥螺洋居菜场东门几名男孩正在滑着滑板车。6点20分，一辆白色轿车途径菜场东门陡坡处，身穿白色上衣的5岁男孩天天突然从陡坡疾驰而下，没等车主反应过来，瞬间被卷进了车底。

台州市公安局交通警察局直属三大队三中队民警 王育新说：这辆车SUⅤ底盘比较高，孩子刚刚好在两个轮子之间，在这车底下的。

孩子被卷入车底时，一对男女恰好路过。监控视频中，一男子顾不上手中刚买的一袋东西甩手一丢，迅速跑到驾驶室一侧拦住轿车，立即蹲下开展施救，当孩子从另外一侧车底爬出时，他又连忙跑到另一头接应。

这时，更多的好心市民赶过来帮忙。驾驶员一边报警，一边找到了孩子的父母，并带孩子去医院做了检查，万幸的是并无大碍。对于这揪心一幕，交警表示，幸亏有热心市民的及时救助，要不然后果不堪设想。


据了解，孩子父母都在菜场做生意，交警提醒，监护人应当时刻关注孩子的动向，学龄前儿童独自在道路上通行存在安全隐患，请家长们一定保证孩子在自己的视线范围内。
