A man attempted to sneakily bring his three pet tortoises onto a train by tying them on his waist to go through the security check in southern China.

The CCTV video, filmed in Shenzhen East Railway Station on November 14, shows a man named Yang trying to walk through the security checkpoint being stopped by the train staff.

Then three tortoises wrapped by plastic bags were found being tied to his waist.

According to reports, Yang was working in Shenzhen and was about to go back to his hometown for a while.

Since he was afraid his pet tortoises will die as no one was going to take care of them after he left, he came up with the idea to manage to bring them onto the train with him.

In China, pets cannot travel by train unless the pets' owners require and get a health certificate. After the police and the train staff explained the regulations to Yang, he realized his fault and took his tortoises out of the train station.

视频中的这一幕发生在11月14日上午7点多，一名中年男子在深圳东站过安检时，安检员发现其腰部有异常，随即将其叫到处置台进行进一步的检查。

安检员检查后发现，该男子竟然将一大两小共三只活体乌龟，用透明胶和塑料袋包好缠在腰部，并多穿了一件外套来掩饰遮盖，当安检员想用剪刀拆下乌龟时，该男子竟称与龟有感情，宁愿“割肉”也不愿交出乌龟，

经询问，该男子姓杨，是河北省任丘市人，常年独自在深圳打工，养有3只乌龟当宠物，当天正准备乘车回老家，但由于担心乌龟没人喂养会被饿死，于是想到“腰缠乌龟”来躲避安检。

最终，民警和安检员耐心向杨某说明禁止携带活体动物进站的相关法规，杨某也表示已经认识到错误，并自行将乌龟带出了火车站处理。
