A man alleged to be mentally unstable was seen threatening to commit suicide from the roof of a building in eastern India, until his rescue by local authorities.

The incident took place on November 22 in Bhubaneswar city, Odisha. 

According to the troubled man's father, he had lost his job about a month earlier and went missing, until he scaled a rooftop and threatened to jump off.

Fire department and other local officials tried to get the man down with the help of a crane only to be threatened by him.

Eventually they were able to talk him down and bring him back to earth safely.

The man continuously pressurizes the officials by telling them that he would jump if they come any closer, making the operation difficult.
According to reports, the man was later brought down to safety and is alleged to be mentally unstable.
