A 500 metres long bamboo bridge, connecting to the langurs trapped on a temporary island was made to rescue the primates in eastern India.
The monkeys have been stranded in the middle of Dudhwa reservoir in Kankar district of Chattisgarh state since Sept.
Visuals show the island in the middle of the reservoir and then workers in the midst of building the bamboo bridge.
The forest department officials can be seen checking up on the situation of the bridge and getting up to date with the situation.
Next, the primates can be seen travelling through the bridge onto the land, escaping the isolation from the word.
According to reports, the forest department officials had completed building a 500 metres long bamboo bridge connecting to the island on Nov. 22.
The idea was a success as 40 monkeys out of the at least 100 stranded have already crossed the bridge to safe land.
The rest of the troop is believed to cross over by the evening.
