Divers explore the Salem Express shipwreck in Egypt where belongings of passengers remain intact
A group of scuba divers explored the eerie Salem Express shipwreck in Egypt's Red Sea where much of the passengers' belongings still remain intact on the vessel's floor.
Filmed on June 18, the underwater explorers float through the ship that sunk in 1991 carrying hundreds of passengers.
Locals believe the shipwreck is a tomb and the site shouldn't be disturbed to show respect for the victims.
The filmer told Newsflare: "Clothes and personal belongings of the doomed travellers still lay on the ground."
The Salem Express sank after colliding with a coral reef of the Egyptian coast in December 1991.
