Panic gripped fishermen when they found a giant crocodile in their net while trawling fish in eastern India's Odisha state. 

According reports, the incident took place on Tuesday (November 26) in the Digapahandi region of the state's Ganjam district. 

The video shows the fishermen trying to unbind the trapped reptile, which was tied with the ropes and later dragged for a few metres. 

After taking control of the reptile the rescuers released it to the nearby dam.

According to the reports, the piscator had gone for fishing when the incident came to light. 
Reports also say that a large number of fisherman were gathered to rescue the crocodile while the rest ran for their lives.
The fisherman informed that they pulled up the net after it got heavier.
As they heaved up the net the fisherman was taken aback on finding a slug crocodile along with the fishes. 
After taking control of the reptile the rescuers dragged the latter till the water body and released it to the nearby dam.
