Suspected pregnant woman among those trapped when pickup truck crashed down 100-ft cliff in San Jacinto, California
Cal Fire responded to a vehicle over the side on the SR79 southbound north of Gilman Springs road in San Jacinto, Riverside County. Arriving crews located a red Dodge Ram with a male driver and a female passenger. The vehicle sustained massive damage in the crash and both parties were trapped. The female passenger was possibly pregnant, although this information is still to be confirmed. Both parties sustained major injuries and were transported to local trauma centers. The female was airlifted by Mercy Air medical helicopter. The driver according to CHP lost control and went airborne while engaging a right curve of the roadway. Speed and the wet road conditions are suspected to be a contributing factor. CHP INDIO CAD LOG N 00403 (SOT WITH CHP IN FOOTAGE)
