I shot this video recently in our place in India.. You can see in this video, 3 men (Hindu Devotees) paying rituals in their traditional way to the god. There are series of various rituals paid by the Devotees and this is one amongst the many. 


On this video you can see, three men were hooked with a iron string flat on the edge of a JCB crane. There is a hook put on their back and there is another around their leg. And that's it... The crane moves slowly lifting them up and down all the way to the temple. They will be untied once they reach the temple.. Can't imagine the pain these three men would have gone through. But it is meant for the god. So it is believed that God will heal their pain and wounds.


I stay in this place for over 20 years and personally hadn't experienced such a ritual in all my tenure in this place. Found it really weird and speechless to witness this in person...
