Video captured the moment of the doctor removed the leech got into the boy's nose after he bathed in the stream in the clinic in Nghe An, Viet Nam.
According to the doctor, Dr. Nam said that the 10-year-old boy came to his clinic with pain in his nose and bleeding. The boy said that an animal had entered his nose while he was bathing in the stream.
After examination, the doctor discovered a giant leech was living in the boy's nose. The doctor quickly used a clip to pick up the live leech.
The leech has a length of about 12cm with a blood belly.
The boy said he would never take a bath the stream again.
The doctor said leeches often lurk in the water in streams. They will use the opportunity to parasitize on the human body.
