Out-of-control: Minor girl on joyride steps on gas, runs over elderly man who miraculously survives in southern India
A man sustained severe injuries after a car- driven by a 13-year-old- hit him in southern India's Tamil Nadu.
This incident took place on November 25 in New Ramakrishnapuram region in the state's Tirupur city.
The visuals, captured on a CCTV camera, showed the man sitting by the roadside and relaxing when suddenly a car dashed into him.
Soon, locals rushed to the spot to help the victim as a man came out of the car and looked in a state of panic.
Commuters can be seen stopping their vehicles and rushing to the rescue of the man, who escaped a fatal accident,
According to reports, the man sustained wounds on his chest and legs.
The driver, identified as Sasikumar, a 13-year-old girl, accidentally hit the accelerator, causing the mishap.
The girl's father was seated next to her during the time of the incident.
No complaint has been registered against the accused as her family agreed to bear the medical expenses.
