The hotel was evacuated in the middle of the night leaving more than 160 guests and staff waiting outside for hours.
Dramatic video shows the fierce flames billowing out the ground floor before it spread through parts of the five-storey hotel at 2.45am this morning (4).
Station commander Nathan Hobson said at the scene: "When firefighters arrived they were faced with a rapidly developing fire.
