Firefighters in southern China rescued a Samoyed dog trapped on the roof of a seven-storey building.

The video, filmed in the city of Neijiang in Sichuan Province on December 3, shows a fireman tied by a safety rope crawling down the roof slowly to approach the dog, while setting up a rope ladder for it.

The fireman then slowly carried the dog onto the ladder and the dog ran up and down the roof, rushing back to its owner immediately.

The Samoyed had reportedly got its leg stuck in the canopy on the roof and could not move.

内江市消防救援支队东兴区消防中队的消防员赶到后发现，萨摩耶被困在顶楼雨棚的位置，腿部被卡住无法脱身。消防员观察清楚现场情况后，立即取来软梯爬上楼顶，并将软梯沿房檐下放至萨摩耶被困的位置。消防员来到雨棚位置小心地将萨摩耶抱起，脱困的萨摩耶迅速挣脱消防员的怀抱，狂奔下屋顶，来到主人身边。
