Flights cancelled as Storm Atiyah makes landfall in UK and Ireland

Ryanair flights due to land at Cork Airport were diverted to Shannon during Storm Atiyah on Sunday (December 8) as strong winds up to 130kmh lashed Ireland.

Cork Airport said a number of Aer Lingus services to and from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh have been cancelled, media in Ireland reported. Shannon Airport said an Aer Lingus flight to London's Heathrow Airport on Sunday and the return service have been cancelled, RTE said.
