A two-year-old golden retriever brought a fishing rod back to a man after fish dragged it away into the river in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on December 1, shows the dog named Tank swimming back to the shore with the fishing rod in his mouth.

Tank's owner Ms Zhou encourages him: "Come on! Swim back to the shore! You are great! Baby, swimming to mum and giving the fishing rod to mum."

After the fisherman got his fishing rod back, he found that the fish was still hooked onto it.

Ms Zhou was walking her dog Tank on the riverside when the fisherman's fishing rod was dragged away by the fish. So Zhou told Tank to help get the fishing rod back.
