The men eventually got hold of the man and hit him with the sticks after dragging him out of the vehicle.

The onslaught forced the driver of the car to flee.

However, the men were forced to relent after a crowd gathered and stopped the attack.

According to reports, the men launched a vicious attack due to a land dispute.

Based on complaints made by the victim, Subhash, 37, the police lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against 14 people.

While it looked like a road-rage incident, in the beginning, it slowly became evident that the men were after another man who stayed inside the car shouting for help.

The accused have been identified as Kapil, Ashok, Bhupi, Kala, Mohit, Mangal, Bhim and seven other unidentified people.

Law enforcement officers have booked the accused under sections 120-B, 147, 149, 323, 341, 427 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

However, the accused are yet to be arrested as officials are investigating the case.a
